The Daily Routine at the Hoodoo Lodge
The Hoodoo Sport Fishing Lodge sets daily routines around the client desires and the fishing opportunities that exist at that time. Each evening your host Rod Schuh will discuss the fishing opportunities with you for the next day. You may choose to fish upriver via jet boat and return to the lodge for lunch or plan for a shore lunch at your favorite fishing spot. You can also choose to fly to Hoodoo Lake and spend two days and one night floating the twenty- five miles of river between the lake and the lodge downriver. There is a comfortable camp awaiting midway downriver at a choice fishing location for your night away from the lodge. This camp has heated structures complete with electricity for your comfort.
If you choose fishing upriver from the lodge your guide will have your boat ready and will be waiting for you on the dock each morning. A typical day on the Hoodoo River might look like this:
- Breakfast – to be decided the night before (typically around 7:30)
- Fishing until noon and return to the lodge for lunch or have a shore lunch.
- More great fishing until 6 – 6:30 P.M.
- Return to the lodge by 7:00 P.M. for relaxation, cocktails and an appetizer.
- Dinner to follow.
We keep our schedule flexible depending on client preferences.
